Ribolink™
Ribolink™ (riboflavin) must be used during every corneal collagen cross-linking procedure. The Vitamin B2 included in Ribolink™ acts as a blocking agent for potentially harmful UV-A rays during the procedure.
UV radiation in combination with Riboflavin initiates molecular cross-linking of corneal collagen. Thus progressive corneal thinning is slowed down or even stopped. Biomechanical strength of corneal tissue is improved.

- Ribolink™ Isotonic – Riboflavin 5-phosphate (0.1%) plus 20% Dextran T500 in 3ml syringe
- Ribolink™ Hypotonic – Riboflavin 5-phosphate (0.1%) in 1ml syringe
Ribolink™ is produced and packaged in Australia by a “Class II” manufacturing Pharmacy under aseptic conditions, and is supplied in sterile packaging.

Clinical Applications
A number of clinical studies have demonstrated that progressive keratoconus and iatrogenic ectasia can be stabilized by corneal cross-linking. The riboflavin solution (0.1% in dextran) is administered during conservative parasurgical procedures for keratoconus and other corneal ectasia pathologies. It is claimed this treatment can prevent the necessity of corneal transplant.
